CPVV, in which the Coimex Group is a stockholder, was formed in 2000 to provide services to offshore oil exploration and production - the industry that is now one of the engines of development for the State of Espírito Santo.

Located in Vila Velha, next to the largest port complex in Espírito Santo State, CPVV handles a large volume of moorings and services for the major oil companies working offshore from Rio de Janeiro State (in the Campos Basin) and Espírito Santo - notably Petrobras, CPVV's largest client.

CPVV is also a pioneer among Brazilian ports in obtaining ISO 9001 (quality) and 14001 (environmental) certification. Responding to market demands, it has also adopted security procedures to support the anti-terrorist legislation of numerous countries - one extra element of added value for its clients. In 2005 it will begin construction of a second pier, increasing its ship mooring capacity and speed of operation.
