The Coimex Group was founded in 1949 in Espírito Santo state as an exporter and seller of coffee. Almost 60 years later it consists of a holding company and other nine companies which operate in different segments of activity. Coimex Empreendimentos e Participações, Coimexpar, is the holding company of the Coimex Group and is responsible for the strategy of the invested company portfolio. It has a presence on all the Board of Directors of the firms in which the Groups has an equity participation.

The Group has shareholder control of four companies, including the holding company, and acts as a partner in the other five. Most of the companies operate in the areas of logistics and foreign trade.These include Tegma Gestão Logística; Cia Importadora e Exportadora Coimex – Coimex Trading Company and its subsidiaries; Cisa Trading, Companhia Portuária Vila Velha, CPVV; and Embraport –Empresa Brasileira de Terminais Portuários S.A.. Throughout its history, the Coimex Group has also been marked by diversifying its investments, innovating and taking advantage of new business opportunities.

This motivation led the Group to add other sectors beyond its core business to its portfolio, such as energy, public service concessions and the real estate market. These new segments are represented by Companhia Energética de Petrolina, CEP; Concessionária Rodovia do Sol, RodoSol; Coimex Capital Empreendimentos Imobiliários, Coimex Capital; and Coimex Administração de Consórcios, Coimex Consórcios . Even with distinct operating areas, each company shares guidelines regarding human talent appreciation, versatility and innovation that are disseminated by Coimex Empreendimentos e Participações, the Coimexpar, aimed at promoting the strengthening of relations among all Group employees, thereby bringing about synergies in the investments which have been made.
